even if you're the one driving and in control of where you're going, sometimes it is nice to have someone in the car with you that knows the best routes to take, or provides the best music to listen to on the way; it is a lot less nice, however, if you suddenly realize that your benevolent passenger's choice shortcuts have lead your car straight over the edge of an unseen cliff, and then just as suddenly realize that they chose this great loud music in order to drown out the sounds of someone they locked in the trunk
